The Orgasmic Touch

It has only been a relatively short period of time in our history in the Modern world, that sex, for the purpose of pleasure and without the goal to procreate, has been both accepted and promoted as vehicle for greater health, happiness, and basis for intimate stability in our relationships. And although we have made the mental and emotional distinctions between our desire for sensual pleasure and our desire to procreate, we, for the most part, have remained limited in our expansion of sensual pleasure to the act intercourse. Ironically, our bodies and our hormone producing brains make no such distinction. When we engage in intercourse for either pleasure or baby making, our brain and our body go into full procreation mode, and whether we desire it or not, we unknowingly “download” our genetic blueprints for what will create and sustain a successful offspring, which would be, a healthy, loving, long lasting, relationship. It is no wonder that most consenting adults that enter into a pleasure negotiated relationship with intercourse as their main vehicle for pleasure rarely last as long time lovers.

But what if we were to engage in pleasure with one another in a way that did not necessarily activate this primordial command? What if we had the opportunity as consenting adults to truly understand the greatest depths of intimacy with another human being through a path of pleasure and sensation knowing full well that we were not the best match for family and/or offspring? What if we could experience intimacy through conscious pleasure with the same degree of reverence and divinity that we might have in consciously creating a new life? Such Intimacy IS possible and it all lies in our ability to both provide and receive ecstatic pleasure through the touch of our hands! But it is more than just a sensual touch. It is a touch that when delivered from a matrix of awareness and consciousness will flow and evolve into a depth of love and intimacy that we as human beings yearn for.
